Yarumo. Dialogues and resonances.

This exhibition is preceded by the dialogue that the artist establishes with a group of Yarumo trees
of the Antoquia region (Colombia), through dowsing (special sensibility to capture certain
radiations) and ancient wisdom.

Through these, the artist interprets the vibrations that emanate from trees aiming to move and propagate those frequencies through a wooden platform, so the audience – seated or laying down- perceives vibration and sound in an intimate way.

In addition to the mentioned piece, the exhibition includes a table with a series of graphics and discs, in which sound frequencies captured during the field research are registered .

There is also a manual/poster that visitors can take home to practice an exercise of meditation and deep listening, which is entitled: “Practices of internal listening: Relaxing Frequencies” which is a compendium of research on sound therapies, energetic healing, neurolinguistic programming, and
empirical discoveries, that was tested and questioned by the artist supported by groups of volunteers in test sessions that resulted in a “sound” composition of his authorship.
